Rolls of Honor Index - Daughters of the American Revolution Vol. I - IV
"The Daughters of the American Revolution in Pennsylvania, realising the necessity of having a general index for the "Rolls of Honor" (Ancestor's Index), in the published volumes of the Lineage Books of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution decided to have a card index made which would include each separate index printed in the Lineage Books and eventually to have this Card Index put in print".
"The Index includes the references to volume and page where are to be found the records of services of over 107,000 men and women who achieved American Independence, and the names of their descendants who were admitted to membership in the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution from the founding of the Society in 1890 to 1902. With the hope that this Index, with its convenient form of reference, will be of value to historians, registrars, genealogists and all others...."
The Rolls of Honor Index lists over 107,000 records in 4 volumes and includes the name, forenames, rank or title and occasionally dates and the State of American Revolution ancestors and patriots.
Note: The first column of figures indicates the volumes, the opposite columns the pages.
